Leeds Tykes are up into second place after this excellent away win at Sandy Park where both Earth Titans and Plymouth Albion have come unstuck.

Leigh Hinton gave them an early lead when he put over a 5^th minute penalty goal. Five minutes alter though the Chiefs were in front when winger Gary Kingdom went over and Adam Staniforth converted. Leeds were back in front six minutes later when centre Johnny Hepworth scored and Hinton converted to make it 10-7. Winger Richard Welding got a second Tykes try on 20 minutes to make it 15-7.

Staniforth pulled three points back with a penalty goal but a try from No 8 Rhys Oakley saw Leeds go further ahead at 20-10 after 33 minutes.

The Chiefs did manage to close the gap before half time when centre Mark Fatialofa went over for an unconverted try and a five point deficit.

Staniforth narrowed the gap to two points on 44 minutes but a sixth try of the season from centre Tom Rock saw the visitors open up a seven point lead. Staniforth again pulled three points back on 71 minutes for the Chiefs.

The Tykes though finished strongly and Rock completed a double and Hinton converted and put over a penalty goal to seal the win.   

London Welsh 22 (Try: Penalty try (80). Con: Ulph. Pens: Ulph 5 (14, 20, 24, 35, 38).   

Pertemps Bees 26 (Tries: Spee 2 (9, 31), Nuthall (49), Qera (80). Cons: Davies 2, Nutthal.      

The Bees picked up an excellent away win at London Welsh to maintain seventh place in the division.

Scrum half Reece Spee got the first score on nine minute with the games opening try and Brad Davies added the extras.   

Welsh Full back Sam Ulph then kicked the home side in front with three penalty goals to lead 9-7 after 24 minutes. Just after the half hour mark the Bees were back in front with Spee getting a second try to make it 12-9.

Before half time Ulph kicked the home side ahead with two more penalty goals to make it 15-12.

Nine minutes into the second half and the Bees were back in front with left wing Matthew Nuthall going over and adding the conversion to make it 19-15.

The next score did not come till injury time with flanker Akapusi Qera extending their lead to 26-15 with Davies adding the extras.   

Eight minutes into injury time the Welsh were awarded a penalty try and Ulph converted as the Welsh picked up a losing bonus point.

Doncaster 22 (Tries: Penalty try (37), Carter (50), D Cook (55). Cons: Woodrow 2. Pen: Woodrow (7).    

Mark Woodrow put Doncaster ahead after seven minutes with a penalty goal. But they had to wait till the 37^th minute to increase there lead with the referee awarding them a penalty try and Woodrow adding the extras. .

Two tries in a five minute spell early in the second half saw Doncaster move clear into a winning lead as first full back Anthony Carter and then second row Dan Cook went in for tries and Woodrow converted the second to make it 22-0 after 55 minutes.

Newbury 34 (Tries: Roberts (3), Hayter (23), James 2 (43, 77). Cons: Walsh 4. Pens: Walsh 2 (35, 48)   

Otley 15 (Tries: Andre (13), Brown (54). Con: Binns. Pen: Binns (39)    

Newbury pick up all five points in this home win over Otley as they collect their first four try bonus point of the season.

Full back Mal Roberts gave them the perfect start going over in the 3^rd minute for the games opening try and with Tim Walsh converting they were 7-0 up.

Wing Xavier Andre got Otley off the mark with a try in the 13^th minute but Simon Binns missed the conversion and they trailed 7-5.

Second row Gregor Hayter got the net try as the home side increased their lead and Walsh added the extras for 14-5.  

Walsh and Binns exchanged penalties late in the half as the home side went in 17-8 ahead.

Centre Ali James increased Newbury’s lead with the third home try three minutes into the second half and Walsh was again on target as they pulled 24-8 clear.  

Otley did manage another try as scrum half Andy Brown went over and Binns added the extras.

Newbury had the final word as James completed a double and secured the four try bonus point for the home side and Walsh converted again to round of the win.

Plymouth Albion 30 (Tries: Van Eyk (16), Genoud (38), Gulliver (50), Oxley (60). Cons: Neethling 2. Pens: Neethling 2 (3, 33). 

Sedgley Park 6 (Pens: P Jones 2 (31, 44).      

Plymouth Albion are up into fourth spot after this home win over Sedgley Park at Brickfields.

Wihan Neethling gave them the lead in the 3^rd minute with a penalty goal. The first try came on 16 minutes when centre Regardt Van Eyk went in and Neethling added the extras for 10-0.

Just after the half hour mark Phil Jones put over a penalty goal for the visitors to get them on the scoreboard but just two minutes later Just before the break they went in for a second try with flanker Federico Genoud crossing and Neethling converting to make it 20-3.

Jones pulled three points back in the second half for the visitors early on but tries on 50 and 60 minutes from lock Ben Gulliver and hooker Richard Oxley saw Plymouth secure the four try bonus point.

The Pirates staged a great comeback in this match to snatch a win and go top of the table after trailing 18-0 at half time.

Gareth Steenson put the home side 6-0 ahead with two penalty goals in the opening 11 minutes. Centre Bernard Hennessy went over for the games opening try on 18 minutes to make it 11-0 and when Steenson went over on 38 minutes and added the conversion they looked on their way to victory and a healthy lead at the top of the table with an 18-0 lead.

In the opening minute of the second half the Pirates were on the scoreboard with scrum half Gavin Cattle going over for his 7^th try of the season and Alberto Di Bernardo adding the extras. Four minutes later he put over a penalty goal. In the 54^th minutes it was game on when centre Steve Winn touched down and with Di Bernardo converting they were just a point behind.

The winning score came on 68 minutes when winger Lewis Vinnicombe went in for the third Pirates try and Di Bernardo was again on target. .

Waterloo 12 (Tries: Brady (38), Loader (50). Con: Loader.     

Coventry move into the top half of the table e after this home win over Waterloo running in seven tries. .

It took till the 16^th minute for the games opening score as Ben Russell put over a penalty goal for a 3-0 lead.

Three minutes late and second row Dave Campion went in for the games opening try and an 8- lead. Two tries in two minutes just after the half hour took them into a comfortable 20-0 lead as wing Kurt Johnson and fly half Myles Dorrian went in for tries. 

Before half time Waterloo did manage to get on the scoreboard when centre Sean Brady touched down.

Six minutes into the second half and right wing Aaron Takarangi went in for the fourth home try and the bonus point was secured. Waterloo did pull seven points back with a second try as full back Dan Loader went over and added the conversion.

Coventry though pushed on and got a fifth try just before the hour mark from prop Alun Wyn Jones and Russell converted to make it 32-12 going into the final quarter.

In that quarter Coventry ran in a couple more tries to round off the win.

Nottingham 29 (Tries: Nirmalendran 2 (23, 40), Penalty Try (60), Duffey (80). Cons: Barlow 3. Pen: Barlow (5).   

Bedford Blues 28 (Tries: Moir (17), Cole (71), Phillips (78). Cons: Pritchard 2. Pens: Pritchard 3 (3, 28, 63).      

Excellent home win for Nottingham over Bedford Blues to move them up to 10^th in the league table.       

Bedford took the lead with James Pritchard putting over a 3^rd minute penalty goal. Tom Barlow replied for the home side to level it after five minutes.

Bedford went back in front when wing Craig Moir went over for a try on 17 minutes and Pritchard converted. Back came the home side to level again on 23 minutes when full back Rowan Nirmalendran went over for a try and Barlow converted. Pritchard put the visitors back in front with a penalty goal but in added time at the end of the half Nirmalendran went n for a second score and a 15-13 lead at half time.

On the hour mark they went 22-13 ahead when they were awarded a penalty try and Barlow converted.

Back came the Blues with Pritchard putting over a penalty goal and tries form prop Dan Cole and second row Jon Phillips and Pritchard adding the conversion to one of them to make it 28-22 to the visitors after 78 minutes.

Nottingham got the winning score in injury time when hooker Joe Duffey went over the Blues line and Barlow added the conversion to sneak a one point win.
