BRIGHTON CLASH MOVED |
| Reading's tricky away trip to former boss Mark McGee's Brighton Hove Albion has been moved from Saturday 19th March to Monday, 21st March at the request of Sky Sports.
The game will now kick off at 19:45pm and will be live on Sky. This could be seen as a good move by many Royals supporters because of the away capacity available at the Withdean Stadium. Away supporters are allocated only 800 tickets in uncovered seating at Withdean, which itself only holds 7,000, although there is planning permission to raise this to 9,000. Tickets for the Brighton match are expected to be sold out within half a day of them going on sale to Season Ticket Holders. It's unclear whether Royalty point will be used for the first time for an away match. The Seagulls have been locked in a major battle with the deputy prime minister John Prescott over a new 22,000 all seater stadium at Falmer. Another game which has been moved is the away match at fellow promotion rivals Wigan Athletic. This game will kick off at 1pm on Sunday, 8th May. |
