TEAM NEWS

Nicky Forster and Shaun Goater are still out. Dave Kitson should be fine to play after playing despite carrying a number of injuries last weekend against Stoke City. Andy Hughes could return, though Dean Morgan, one of the club's hottest young prospects impressed against Stoke and could continue. It was, of course, Morgan who scored the winning goal the last time the teams met.

For Cardiff, Darren Williams returns to partner either Tony Vidmar or James Collins. Paul Parry and Alan Lee should continue up front. The Bluebirds will be without Gary O'Neil who has returned to Fratton Park, his place will most likely be taken by Willie Boland.

Graeme Murty, the new Royals captain will have been pleased that the team continued it's excellent home form and players and fans alike will hope that it continues tomorrow against Cardiff.

Lenny Lawrence will certainly want a good result to continue the recent run of better form that his side have enjoyed - including a thumping of Alan Pardew's West Ham.

Looking at their relative Championship positions Royals fans will probably feel confident about the game against Cardiff City. However, Cardiff's fans will not be phased by their league position and will certainly give their team rousing support from the away stand.

Fans at the game will be asked to respect a minutes silence for Leslie Charles Matthews, otherwise known as Charlie, a lifelong Royals fan killed in the train crash last Saturday on his way home from the game.
