Bobby Convey's unveiled at Madejski Stadium, the next fans forum is announced and much much more in the 1871Royals News-Round Up service!

NEWS ROUND-UP
Today saw the unveiling of Reading's latest recruit, Bobby Convey. At 10 AM saw a press conference from the Madejski Stadium where the player, manager Steve Coppell, John Madejski, Nicky Hammond and Ian Wood-Smith were all in attendance.

Convey who signed a three year deal with the Royals is delighted at a move to the English league and particular praise was handed out to Director Of Football, Nicky Hammond who had worked so hard in order to cut a deal for the 21 year old. Hammond had been given plenty of stick from Royals supporters since taking up his new role but certainly has quietened his critics after managing to bring a player of Conveys credentials to Reading.

From the good news to the bad, defender Steve Brown has decided to call it a day on his professional football career after being unable to overcome his knee injury. The defender had struggled with injury for the majority of last season but when fit was a major asset to the team.
Brown played his last game for the Royals in the two nil home defeat to Sunderland back in March.

Everyone here at 1871Royals would like to wish Steve Brown all the best for the future.
