Glen Little looks like being the first new summer signing after verbally agreeing on a deal to join the Royals. Steve Coppell has stated that he was keen on bringing in a replacement for the departed Scott Murray and he looks like he has got his man.

Glen Little will be well known to most Royals fans after spending a loan spell at the Madejski towards the end of last season. He scored once while at the club against relegated Grimsby Town.

There has been mixed feelings between the fans as to whether he is the man to fill the right hand side although he is a very gifted player, which has been shown down the years at Burnley. The Clarets were keen to hold on to the player offering him an extension to his contract although this was not enough to persuade him to say. Little is a fans favourite at Turf Moor but after spending seven years at the Lancashire club, he has stated he wants a move back down south and nearer to where he was born in London.

Royals Director of Football Nick Hammond said;

"We have started discussions with Glen and his representative. We're hopeful that a deal can be done during the summer to make him a Reading player at the start of next season."
