Royals defender Ivar Ingimarsson played the full 90 minutes for Iceland as they held Latvia to a 0-0 draw.He is currently suspended at the moment for the Royals after his harsh dismissal in the 2-1 defeat to Bradford City.

Royals defender Ivar Ingimarsson played the full 90 minutes yesterday as his Iceland side held Latvia to a goalless draw in Latvia. The Icelandic defender is currently suspended for the Royals after a harsh red card in the 2-1 defeat to Bradford City. He was sent off after an "off the ball" incident with City striker Dean Windass.

He missed the 1-0 win over Millwall and won't play again this season should the Royals not make the Division 1 Playoffs.

Other Icelandic players playing their trade in England are the Manchester City goalkeeper Arni Arason, Nottingham Forest's Brynjan Gunnarsson and Charlton Athletic defender Hermann Hreidarsson. While for Latvia, they had Southampton striker Marian Pahars playing for them. He returned after a long injury absence.

Staying on the International front, Royals and England U19's goalkeeper Jamie Young suffered a surprise defeat to Slovenia last night. Its not yet known if he'll play in the friendly with Denmark on Friday night. Because of the absence of Jamie, it means American goalie Marcus Hahnemann and Trinidad and Tobago goalie Kelvin Jack will fight it out for the place on the bench for Saturday's visit of West Bromwich Albion. Hahnemann hasn't played since the 0-0 draw with Stoke City back on the 13th March while Jack signed just before the transfer deadline day.
