Young Blues and Scotland striker Andrew Barrowman is set to move to Scottish Premier League side Motherwell after being told by blues manager Steve Bruce he can leave on a free transfer after failing to break into the first team.

20 year old Scottish striker Andrew Barrowman has reportedly been told he can leave Birmingham City on a free transfer in January.

Barrowman has failed to break into Steve Bruce's first team squad and has been sent out on loan to both Blackpool and Crewe in previous seasons without making an impact for either team. The reluctance to give Barrowman a first team chance even when the club were going through a striker crisis shows the little faith Bruce has in Barrowman and a move could be the only way to get his career going again.

Scottish Premier League side Motherwell are said to be interested in the striker and former England captain Terry Butcher wants to take Barrowman to Fir Park on a trial period, to run an eye over the blues youngster. If Butcher is impressed with what he see's, Barrowman will be allowed to move back to Scotland on a free transfer.
