A recent poll on BlueNosesOnline.com has revealed that the best Blues v Villa derby game to date was the very first in the Premier League when Blues scored three against their local rivals and won for the first time in sixteen years against the Villa.

Over the last week you may have noticed the 'Which was the best of the derby days' poll running on the site. Well 37 of you have cast your vote and the results were as follows:

In first place with 57% of the votes was Birmingham 3 Villa 0. The first game Brummie derby since blues got promoted to the Premier League. Clinton Morrison, Peter Enkelman and Geoff Horsfield got the goals as blues recorded their first victory over Villa in sixteen years.

In second place with 24% of the votes was Villa 0 Birmingham 2. The second Brummie derby in the Premier League and blues won against the odd's to record a famous double over the Villa. Goals by Stan Lazaridis and Geoff Horsfield was enough to send the travelling support crazy on a dark, Monday night in Aston.

In third place with 11% of the votes was Villa 2 Blues 2. Villa were 2-0 up but blues got back into the game thanks to a Mikael Forssell goal and equilised in the last minute thanks to that Stern John goal.

And finally in last place with 8% of the votes was the recent Villa 1 Blues 2. Blues won against the odd's thanks to goals by Clinton Morrison and David Dunn. But it seems the fans are getting bored with beating the villa as this game was their least favourite of the 4.
