Manchester United's new signing Louis Saha has given his comments on how he managed to land his dream move to Old Trafford by pressuring Fulham.

His departure will have left a bitter taste in manager Chris Coleman's mouth, and he was key player at Fulham, but the Premiership's youngest manager who earned praise for his stance against Saha's demands has been reassured by Saha he did not enjoy pressuring him.

"I have been waiting for a month and a half to join Manchester United. It was a really long time. I had to put pressure on Fulham, which did not please me because I love the club," Saha told L'Equipe.

"My coach believed that because of our situation in the league, I had to stay and finish the season with them. But I knew this was my only chance to sign with Manchester United. I had to make sure the transfer would happen now."
