Kidderminster Harriers have been found guilty of not controlling their players. Perhaps the FA could be found guilty of not appointing competent officials.

The real Guilt lies with Mr Tanner

In March, I went and watched the Harriers v Orient game at the Matchroom Stadium and like many times of late I left remembering the performance of another inept official. Despite not being a really dirty game, there were 8 bookings as Mr Tanner put in the standard impotent performance expected of a FL referee. The incident which Harriers and Orient were charged with was failure to control their players. This was when a melee resulted after Mark Yates had clattered their keeper. What followed was a bit of handbags and Harriers and an Orient player were both sent off. Keates protested his innocence but unfortunatley there was no video evidence. Perhaps now we have been charged the FA could explain why our two clear cut penalties were not allowed. And seeing as Mr Tanner is so good and to the letter of the law can HE explain why the Os keeper wasnt sent off for a proffesional foul.

The reason why ? He can't, he failed,just like many other refs. Basically, it wouldnt make any difference if every ref was sacked and replaced with anyone who knew the game overnight. Anyway rant over, it will soon be time to support England in Euro 2004, unless we decide to try and charge them with not controlling their players if theres any sign of a strike.
