Kidderminster Harriers finish their travels of 2003-4 with a trip to the seaside. Harriers visit promotion chasing Torquay at Plainmoor tomorrow.

Torquay v Harriers 1st May ko 3/00pm

It will be a difficult task for Harriers tomorrow as Torquay have had a fine season and should at least make the play offs (they might already have) and are now chasing the 3rd automatic spot, currently held by Huddersfield. The Gulls have been the surprise package this term and surely are a model for us to follow next year. Despite having a small budget like ourselves, under Leroy Rosenior, Torquay have had a great year and unlike some, play a good passing game as well. There main danger man is David Graham, who has netted 20 times and he was included in the 3rd division team of the year. So Harriers will be hard pushed to get anything out of a game which is of main interest to the Gulls fans.

Bad news for Harriers and possibly Torquay and even the game itself is that tomrrows referee is the beloved Fraser Stretton. The famous "Rugby agent" has officiated at a few Kidder games in the past, most notably when he had a complete brainstorm in sending 3 Harriers players off at Bristol Rovers 2 years ago. However he was in charge(?) when we beat Exeter 4-3 at home last season, which could be a good Devonic omen. Mind you, if I can remember that he took charge(?) of that game in August 2002, then it says to me, he werent much cop. Lets hope he is forgotten, which in ref terms for fans, means he did his job.

Despite this reports indicate that there will be a good following of Harriers fans down in Torbay tomorrow, hoping to spoil the party so to speak. For Harriers its the usual who are out injured, namely Keates,Bennett,Willis and Coleman, whilst Abdou Sall is suspended. Harriers boss Jan Molby is expected to make changes from the team who lost to Rochdale last Saturday. For the Kidder players, whom 15 are out of contract, its a late chance to impress and after last week, surely they can do better.
