Wolves replay

Kidderminster Harriers will be backed by around 4000 fans as they make the short journey up the A449 to take on Wolves in the FA Cup 3rd round replay.

Harriers will be without the cup tied Adam Murray and Lee Jenkins, whilst Kidder will hope for Danny Williams to return from injury.Manager Jan Molby will be looking for Harriers to put in a better display than the weekends defeat at Mansfield, and hope that someone will be ready to take any penalties, after all, the game could be decided by them.

Wolves will be without Henri Camara, who is on African Nations Cup duty for Senegal and Lee Naylor, who is suspended.I have seen some suggestions that Wolves could give a game to more fringe players. In any case, the Premiership basement boys should be able to get past Harriers, or will they?

Our Chances

Lets face it, we should be out of the cup tomorrow night, but who knows, we may be able to pull off a major shock. Perhaps our chance was at Aggboro and now that slim chance has gone.Who knows, but I do feel we will need to have a lot of luck if we are to get anything. My assesment of our 1st meeting was that we had a 1 in 10 chance of beating the Wolves, in to say if we were to play 10 games against them, we might win 1. Now that has increased to probably about 30 to 1, with the game being away. As i said before though, the pressure is even more on Wolves now. The Molinuex crowd can be great for them if they are winning, but if we do frustrate them, then they are liable to turn on their own side. But be in doubt, for Harriers to win, we do need luck on our side.

Since being in the league, we have pushed higher teams well on a few occasions. In the Carling/Worthy Cup we have had narrow defeats to higher opoonents in Walsall(then Div 2) Preston (div 1, with Moyles) and of course Ipswich this season. Maybe we could go that extra mile and get the luck this time.

My team talk would be simple, just play like you did at Aggie, but try and shoot more. If we are going to win, then a glorious long ranger, is normally the method. I would keep it tight tactics wise, and would try and get as many corners and free kicks around the box as possible. Still, lets enjoy the occasion whatever, and hope we dont get thrashed, because, after the 1st match, we dont really deserve such a fate.
