Kidderminster Harriers have added a new loan signing ahead of tomorrows trip to Bristol Rovers.Harriers will be hoping for a repeat of last seasons win at Eastville, when loanee JJ Melligan was on target against Rovers. LATEST NEWS (5/9/03)
Tomorrow sees Harriers Manager Ian Britton return to his boyhood team, Bristol Rovers. Britton, a lifelong Gashead will be looking to upset his relatives again like last season, where Harriers claimed a 2-1 victory. JJ Melligan gave Kidder the lead before Tait equalised for Rovers before Bo Henriksen’s late headed winner. The sides then drew 1-1 at Aggboro’ on last seasons final day.
For the trip to Eastville Harriers have added another loan signing to the squad. Left sided midfielder Lloyd Dyer has joined on loan for a month from 1st Division neighbours, West Bromwich Albion. The imminent arrival was announced yesterday on the official site(www.harriers.co.uk) but without naming the player or position. I don’t know about you, but I was expecting a striker rather than another midfielder. Dyer has apparently appeared fleetingly in Albion’s first team and is 20 years old. By all accounts he is set to make his debut tomorrow, so it looks like Sam Shilton will miss out again.
Unfortunately I shall not be attending tomorrows game due to fiscal reasons (ie skint!) but will bring details on this site later on after the match. Not sure how many Kidder are taking, the England game which kicks off at 5.30pm will not help matters.
