22-year-old David Bellion feels that a move to French club Nice is right for his career. The versatile forward is anxious to impress and has jetted back to his home country in a loan move that will last until the end of the season.

Manchester United forward David Bellion is anxious to prove himself in France, after completing a loan move to Nice until the end of the current campaign.

The versatile forward has struggled to make any sort of impact at Old Trafford following a move from Sunderland, and was largely unsuccessful during a short loan spell at West Ham United. Bellion found the net just four times in two years at United, but feels that regular first-team football with Ligue 1 club Nice can give him the platform he needs to boost a flagging career.

"I learnt a very different type of game in England," said the 22-year old. "I was schooled in Cannes but I have never played a professional match in France. I signed for a prestigious club, Manchester United, but I rarely played with the first team.

"I was not forced to go to West Ham but looking back I think it was a mistake, even though it was an interesting experience. It might have been better if I had chosen Nice when we were in contact last August."

Bellion will be hoping to make his debut for Nice in one of their two upcoming home games; a League Cup tie against Bordeaux followed up by league action against Paris Saint Germain.
