Manchester United's long-term injury list continues to build up as skipper Roy Keane broke a bone in his foot that will force him out of action for 2 months. Ruud van Nistelrooy has reiterated his intentions to stay at Old Trafford despite tempting links to La Liga giants Barcelona and Real

The Irishman suffered the injury in the 0-0 draw with Liverpool earlier this afternoon and played despite a hamstring problem reported earlier in the week.

Keane joins Gabriel Heinze in the treatment room after the Argentina international damaged cruciate ligaments in his knee against Villarreal.

However, Gary Neville, Wes Brown and Louis Saha are expected to return from injury in the near future.
