Saha Suffers Knee Injury...Again

Louis Saha will miss the start of the Premiership season with a knee injury that will rule him out of the opening games with Everton and Aston Villa and the Champions League qualifier with Debrecen. However, the possibility of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's return in a United jersey will soften the blow and provide a different alternative upfront.

A club official revealed: "Louis Saha has had arthroscopic surgery for damage to the medial meniscus in his right knee."

The £12.8 million former Fulham front-man has been plagued by injury in the past and this current injury may put pressure on Sir Alex Ferguson to swoop for Real Madrid's Michael Owen.

Saha had been rumoured to return to Craven Cottage on-loan but Sir Alex Ferguson is determined to give the 26-year-old a run for his money.
