Scouts will be reporting back to Old Trafford shortly with a long list of names who have impressed them in the World Youth Championships, which is being held in the Netherlands.
The tournament has made the name of many current
football stars such as Jon Obi Mikel, who is set to join United in January, and
Javier Saviola.
With United constantly on the look out for the world's best crop of starlets, scouts such as Sir Alex Ferguson's son, Martin, will recommend a number of players.
Stars of the tournament so far include Ukrainian Oleksandr Aliiev of Dynamo Kyiv, Athletic Bilbao's Spanish forward Llorante, and China's Tao Chen.
24 countries from Panama to Benin and Syria to Switzerland have all been taking part but host nation Netherlands, Spain, China and Columbia have all caught the eye of spectators with impressive performances.
