Liam Miller has reiterated his desire to remain a Red Devil and will fight for his chance in the Manchester United midfield amid transfer rumours linking him away from Old Trafford.

The Republic of Ireland international, who joined United last summer from Celtic, made just 10 starts in all competitions in his debut season and has grown frustrated at the lack of chances in a congested midfield.

Norwich have been monitoring the midfielder, who is keen to remain as a United player. "I'd have liked to have played in more games, but maybe in some of the matches I did play in I didn't do as well as I know I can, which is frustrating," he said.

"The boss has just told me to keep working hard and what I need to do to improve myself," he added. "I've just go to wait for my next chance and take it when it comes.

"I know what I have to do next season. My ultimate hope is to try to get a starting place at United next term."
