Everton boss David Moyes has revealed he will be seeking advice from fellow countryman Sir Alex Ferguson on how to conquer Europe following the Blues' surprise entrance into next season's Champions League.

Ferguson won the prestigious European Cup in a glorious 1999 season as a Red Devil and enjoyed European success with Aberdeen.

Moyes has been dubbed as the new Fergie after taking the relegation-tipped Everton into Europe's finest club competition but still needs managerial help.

"I'm always asking questions and looking to find things out and I'll hope to speak to Sir Alex before the Champions League to see if there's any advice he can give me," Moyes admitted. "I think the nearer you get to the top end you either sink or swim.

"We all support each other greatly and know the difficulties football management has.

"But also it's a case of if you want to be at the top end you are going to have to do it yourself and prove yourself.

"You get a little bit of help on the way up and pick things up."
