Restaurant Owner: I Saw Rio & Kenyon

The co-owner of the Elysee Greek restaurant, Ulysses Karageorgis, has revealed that he saw Manchester Untied defender Rio Ferdinand and Chelsea Executive Peter Kenyon in discussion at his London restaurant.

The England international's future has been the subject of a massive debate recently, with reports suggesting Ferdinand wants a major wage increase. Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed talks of a Red Devils new contract have taken place.

However, Peter Kenyon has met Rio Ferdinand and agent Pini Zahavi on two occasions in the past few days, once in the Carpaccio restaurant and then more recently in the Elysee restaurant - both situated in London.

Co-owner of the Elysee, Ulysses Karageorgi, exposed that a group of people including Kenyon, Ferdinand and agent Zahavi dined together: "For a while Rio sat next to Kenyon and chatted together, sometimes joking, sometimes seriously" he said.

"They ordered champagne and seemed very happy"

"About 2am Ferdinand's chauffeur came and he left alone. He had drunk champagne but he wasn't drunk. Then Mr Zahavi ordered a taxi for the others"
