Ahead of his first game since being reappointed Welsh boss, John Toshack faces a selection dilemma. Ryan Giggs, surprise, surprise, is amongst the names unavailable for Wales' international friendly against the Hungarians.

John Toshack is without Ryan Giggs, John Hartson, Robbie Savage, Gavin Williams and Gareth Roberts miss the Cardiff friendly, with Jason Koumas and Danny Gabbidon doubts as Wales entertain Hungary in a fairly meaningless friendly encounter at the Millennium Stadium.

United wing Giggs was set to win his 50th cap for Wales, but will have to wait after pulling out with a hamstring injury. With a shockingly bad pitch, following Saturday's Six Nations game, and the lack of importance surrounding the fixture, Giggs will play no part. His injury probably isn't all that serious, and it is not uncommon to see the left-footer sit out international friendlies.

Wales, managed last by Red Devils legend Mark Hughes, will turn to youth as they face Hungary. Sunderland centre-back Danny Collins and Swansea full-back Sam Ricketts could make debuts in a makeshift side, giving Toshack the chance to look at some of his fringe players. These names are the future of Welsh football with the much of the current squad heading towards international retirement.
