Manchester United youngster Chris Eagles has completed a three-month loan move to Championship side Watford to help the Hornets push forward up the table and into the play-off positions.

Watford are just 12 points behind teams challenging for play-off spots and the capture of the United winger will be a healthy boost for London club.

Boss Ray Lewington is thrilled to have sealed the deal for 19-year-old Eagles, who has made six starting appearances and three substitute appearances as a Red Devil.

"The boy's got great potential - He's a Hertfordshire lad so in a sense he's coming home," stated Lewington. "Sir Alex Ferguson has been very good in letting us have him for three months and I think he can help us." he added. 

Lewington also revealed that Eagles will be in contention of a starting place against table-toppers Wigan tomorrow. "He'll definitely be involved on Saturday against Wigan. After that we'll treat him just like any other member of the squad - he'll have to fight for his place like all the others."
