Rangers boss Alex McLeish has revealed ongoing talks with Manchester United's out-of-favour winger Bojan Djordjic over a possible transfer to Ibrox in the new-year. Glasgow Rangers boss Alex McLeish has revealed ongoing talks with Manchester United's out-of-favour winger Bojan Djordjic over a possible transfer to Ibrox in January.

The Swedish youngster, who sits well down the pecking order at Old Trafford, has never received a permanent run in the senior team by Sir Alex Ferguson and with the midfield qualities United possess, first team football seems unlikely.

Loan deals have been Djordjic's only football over the past years and has attracted interest from a number of Championship outfits, but a move to Scotland looks as good as done after impressing in trial spells.

McLeish admitted: "We are trying to progress discussions to the next level."

"That involves talking to agents and their clubs so we are hopeful we can say something about it soon."
