Goalkeeper Carlos Idriss Kameni has dismissed transfer talk linking him with a move to Manchester United or any other club, insisting he will stay with new club Espanyol.

The Cameroon international 'keeper is the latest addition to the ever growing list of possible goalkeepers that Sir Alex Ferguson wants to replace Tim Howard and Roy Carroll with.

Old Trafford No.1 Tim Howard hasn't showed the form that made him famous during his debut season at United so-far this season and is currently midway through a short break from football.

Ulsterman Roy Carroll has shown fine-form standing in for Howard, producing decent displays in-between the sticks. However, Sir Alex Ferguson seems reluctant to keep him as first choice goalie.

Kameni, who has been linked with United in the past, confirmed: "No club or intermediary has called me, but I have heard things about the possibility that Manchester wants me."

"If they do come to me, I will say to them that I do not want to go away."

He added: "I am a player of Espanyol, I left my previous club to play and for that reason I will remain here."
