Manchester United will take on Romanian
outfit Dinamo Bucharest at Old Trafford tomorrow to decide who makes it
into the group stages of the Champions League.
The Red Devils already have one-foot in Europe after triumphing 2-1 in Romania and will look to seal the deal at home. United produced a fine performance in Eastern Europe that was marred by two own-goals however. A Quinton Fortune blunder ended up in an early lead being handed to Dinamo, however, United fought back thanks to a great Ryan Giggs' goal and an Alistar own-goal. Several key-players will be missing for United like strikers Ruud van Nistelrooy and Louis Saha but Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed that midfield duo Kleberson and Darren Fletcher are penciled in his plans to start the game. Speaking about World Cup winner Kleberson, Ferguson said: "He had injuries, long term injuries. When you're coming from Brazil as a young lad, it's going to take time. I think he will be better." "He's been training well the last week. He's looked very good in training. So, we'll give him his go against Dinamo." he added. After a five-minute run-out against Norwich on the weekend, Cristiano Ronaldo will play a longer part in the game whilst Quinton Fortune is still out with a thigh strain. The Romanian opposition are confident of a
come-back and are refusing to rule themselves out of the group stages just
yet. "If I don't believe we can qualify, I won't get on the plane."
said the Dinamo skipper, Florentin Petre. ManUtdWeb Prediction: Manchester United 3 - Dinamo Bucharest 1: Sir Alex Ferguson is likely to give youth a chance in this game and I can't see United failing to reach the group stage. A clean sheet would be nice but it very likely we'll concede a goal at some stage. Come On United! |
