Manchester United suffered their second loss consecutive loss in their tour of the United States of America, losing to Scottish champions Glasgow Celtic 2-1. Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted he may include his big-stars in the team that faces AC Milan later this week.

Manchester United suffered their second loss consecutive loss in their tour of the United States of America, losing to Scottish champions Glasgow Celtic 2-1.

Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted he may include his big-stars in the team that faces AC Milan later this week after this disappointing loss and a 4-2 penalty shoot-out defeat to Bayern Munich.

The Red Devils were yet again young, inexperienced and depleted, meanwhile, The Hoops welcomed back manager Martin O'Neill after missing their first two games due to personal reasons.

The first-half was marred by a rash tackle committed by youngster Chris Eagles on Alan Thompson. Thompson had to be stretched and had to reportedly have stitches.

American Jon Spector fouled Stilian Petrov inside the box leaving the referee no-chance but to award a penalty to Celtic. Chris Sutton made no mistake converting to fire his side into the lead.

Despite respective efforts from Kieran Richardson and Eric Djemba-Djemba, Alan smith equalized with 10 minutes of the first period to go. 

Five minutes after the break and £7 million man Smith should have made it 2-1 but fumbled his shot over the bar.

Craig Beattie netted Celtic's winner from the acutest of angles on the 71st minute.

Diego Forlan tried to add some fire-power up-front but failed as United came no-where near matching last years 4-0 triumph.

Phil Bardsley could have made himself a hero on the stroke of half-time but struck the ball over from a decent position.
