Gary Neville has revealed that he is not looking forward to playing Cristiano Ronaldo on Thursday as Neville's England and Ronaldo's Portugal face each other in the first quarter-final. Manchester United full-back Gary Neville has revealed that he is not looking forward to playing team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo on Thursday as Neville's England and Ronaldo's Portugal face each other in the first Euro 2004 quarter-final.

Ronaldo, 19, has continued his fine form he left behind at Old Trafford from the back end of last season and has been tricking defenders with his fantastic array of skills in his home country of Portugal.

I know Cristiano Ronaldo is not going to give me one single second’s rest for 90 minutes," claims Neville.

"He is a special talent and has showed everyone he is going to be world class."

"I played against him every day in training this season and he’s a fabulous player."

"He’s such a courageous lad who never stops wanting the football. If he gets tackled nine times on the bounce, he will still want it the 10th time and believe he can go past you." he continued.

But Neville has got a plan up his sleeve to stop the wonderkid. "Trying to deal with his step-over is simple, basic defending. You just watch the ball as much as you can and ignore his feet."
