Louis Saha looks set to miss out on a place in the French starting line-up for Sunday's clash with England after David Trezeguet was given the all clear to start alongside Thierry Henry. The news will come as a major blow to Saha, who had talked up the game as the biggest of his career.

Louis Saha has suffered a major setback ahead of France's European Championship opener against England on Sunday. The Manchester United striker looks set to miss out on a place in the French starting line-up after David Trezeguet passed a fitness test ahead of the mouth-watering clash this weekend.

Trezeguet now looks certain to partner Arsenal's Theirry Henry up front, meaning Saha will have to settle for a place on the bench. The news will come as a major, if not expected, blow to Saha who has seen his international careers flourish since a controversial New Year move to Old Trafford. The former Fulham forward had referred to the game on Sunday as the biggest of his career so far, but it now looks like any part he will play will be from the bench.

Meanwhile, United's Mikael Silvestre looks set to start at the heart of the French defence alongside the highly-rated Lilian Thuram. Another familiar face to Red Devils fans will be Fabien Barthez, who will attempt to keep out former team-mates Paul Scholes and Gary Neville, who look set to start, with Nicky Butt and Phillip Neville also in the England squad,
