Nineteen-year old Ronaldo has been on fine form lately and was instrumental in yesterday's 3-0 FA Cup Final win over Division One outfit Millwall at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

The Portuguese international failed to impress at the start of the season but found his feet in the latter part of this term after his £12 million move from Sporting Lisbon.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said this after the game: "He's skilful, he has got an awful lot of talent and he can open people up,"

"There is no question that the potential of that player is better than anything in Europe. What we have to do is realise that potential,"

He continued: "It took him time to get used to British football but with every passing week he is getting better and better and to my mind he was the man of the match,"

Teammate Paul Scholes has also said some kind words about the teenager. "He has so much skill and speed it is frightening,'' he said.

"If the opposition gets physical, he just comes back for more."
