Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has backed his captain Roy Keane to be fit enough to play in Saturday's FA Cup Final showdown with Millwall at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium. Ferguson Backs Keane To Be Fit

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has backed his captain Roy Keane to be fit enough to play in Saturday's FA Cup Final showdown with Millwall at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

The Irishman has missed a string of games due to an ever occurring hamstring injury but Fergie has revealed the 32-year-old has trained and expects him to be fit.

"He has trained for the last three days, has suffered no reaction so far and I don't expect he will have one," said the United boss.

"You always want your best players on the pitch and he is still the biggest influence on our team.

"He is our captain, he has been there more times than anyone else and it is natural we would want him there."
