The mouth-watering prospect of having Arjen Robben in a Manchester United shirt looks doubtful as he is currently discussing a new contract with Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven.

The 19-year old attacking-midfielder has been heavily linked with United and reports in Holland suggested he was booked for a medical at Carrington.

Hans Robben, the Dutch sensation's father, stressed the fact that it is unlikely that Robben would move to The Red Devils.

"There is nothing concrete going on between Manchester United and us," said his father

"It's quite the contrary: we are speaking to PSV to see if we can get a better deal in Eindhoven than Arjen has at the moment.”

"If PSV are willing to invest in new and experienced players, Arjen wants to think about a longer stay in Eindhoven." he added.

The attacking midfielder has scored 16 goals in 48 appearances for PSV and is a vital member of Dick Advocaat's Dutch team.
