Gary Neville believes that Arsenal will be United's only major threat in the Championship race this season. The England international doesn't think that Chelsea will be able to hold a consistent threat to the title throughout the season, although he still thinks they have the ability to challenge. Neville: "Arsenal are Main Threat"
Manchester United defender Gary Neville believes Arsenal are the Red Devils' only major threat in their campaign to retain the Premiership crown.

With half the season gone, Arsenal remain unbeaten although their high number of draws means despite three defeats, United top the league table going into the New Year.

Neville believes that big-spending Chelsea, who forked out over £100million on pre-season transfers as they look to buy their way to Premiership success, will contend for the title. However, the England international doubts they will have the consistency to remain in touch at the top for the entire campaign.

"Chelsea will be title contenders, even though they have had one or two results which have dropped them off the pace," said Neville.

"I think with the amount of players they have bought they cannot fail to be title challengers.

"They have got the players. I still say Arsenal are the main threat for the championship, but Chelsea are contenders."
