The Australian international is one of many attackers who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, with Henrik Larsson, Louis Saha and Jermaine Defoe all lined up as possibilites to bolster the Reds forward line.

Viduka has been linked with moves to several clubs across Europe, but the Leeds United board have recently reported they do not plan to sell any of their big guns in the January transfer window. Leeds' recent return to form has been helped by the return of Mark Vidkua to the starting line-up, who had previously been frozen out of the team by former boss Peter Reid.

The 28-year-old netted the opening goal of Leeds' 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Monday evening and has temporarily won back the respect of the Elland Road faithful.

However with United believed to have made a bid that Leeds, who are heading for administration, could not possibly refuse, Vidkua looks set for an Elland Road exit when the January sales open. A possible move would surely confirm that rivals Leeds United are little more than our feeder club!
