Lancashire rivals Bolton Wanderers did United a huge favour with a 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal, in a day that two Premiership fixtures were postponed. Here's a round-up of the 5 top-flight matches that took place today. New Page 1

Premiership Round-Up - Saturday 20th December
Arsenal and Chelsea sit joint top at the top of the Premiership, with points, goal difference and goals scored not able to separate the two London giants, however United will be able to leapfrog both sides with victory at White Hart Lane tomorrow. Two games were postponed due to the horrific weather conditions in a day that saw wins for Chelsea, Aston Villa and Everton. Here is a full review of the Premiership games today:

Blackburn Rovers 0-2 Aston Villa
The Villains won their first league match on the road this season with an impressive performance at Ewood Park. Stefan Moore and Juan Pablo Angel were on target for David O'Leary's side, which eased the relegation worries of the Midlands outfit. It's the opposite for Rovers though, who could drop into the bottom 3 after the Sunday and Monday fixtures.

Bolton Wanderers 1-1 Arsenal
Sam Allardyce's side moved into the top half with a fantastic performance which saw them earn a deserved point against unbeaten Arsenal. Henrik Pedersen's late strike cancelled out Robert Pires' earlier effort to earn Bolton a point, and do their Lancashire friends a massive favour!

Charlton Athletic 0-0 Newcastle United
Sir Bobby Robson's side failed to build on their drubbing of Tottenham Hotspur last week, with a goalless draw against Charlton Athletic. The result means the two sides stay in the top 6 positions they owned at the start of the day, but the Magpies' title challenge looks well and truly dead.

Everton 3-2 Leicester City
The game of the day was undoubtedly at Goodison Park. Despite the Toffees having the lion share of possession in the opening period, the two sides went in level at the break with veteran Foxes striker Les Ferdinand cancelling out Everton's opener, which came through a Steve Howey own-goal. The visitors then took the lead through James Scowcroft, but Wayne Rooney and Thomasz Radzinski netted within eight minutes of each other to give the home side all three points.

Fulham 0-1 Chelsea
The Blues put the shock home defeat against Bolton Wanderers behind them, beating Chris Coleman's Fulham side 1-0 at Loftus Road. Things looked grim for the big-spenders in the first-half with players arguing amongst themselves as chances were missed, but Hernan Crespo silenced some of his critics in the second-half with a well-taken header to give the title contenders all three points.
