Butt and Neville's Play as England Battle for Win

England came from a goal behind to beat Macedonia 2-1 in Skopje. Wayne Rooney, and former United star David Beckham were on target as England came away with a much needed three points. Match Report

United Players In Action for England
Manchester United players Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Nicky Butt were all in action for England as they won 2-1 against Macedonia in Skopje.

Paul Scholes was ruled out of the game with a Hernia problem and Rio Ferdinand had kidney trouble, so they both couldn't play.

Ex-Barnsley forward Georgi Hristov gave Macedonia a deserved lead in the 26th minute from an awful defensive error.

Wayne Rooney re-wrote history, being the youngest ever player to score for England, equalizing early in the second half.

England were then awarded a penalty when John Terry was brought down in the box. Non-other than ex-United player David Beckham gave England the lead just after the hour mark.

Gary Neville and Nicky Butt both started the game and played very well. Phil Neville replaced Wayne Rooney on the 74th minute.

England now lay second in group seven with 16 points and a game in hand over leaders Turkey.
