With the senior squad on their pre-season tour of the United States, a Manchester United side made up of reserve and youth players took on Dr.Martens Premiership winners Tamworth in a pre-season friendly. The game finished in a 0-0 stalemate, which was United's third consecutive draw. New Page 4

A Manchester United XI, made up of a mixture of reserve and youth team players drew 0-0 with Dr.Martens Premiership winners Tamworth at the Lamb Ground.

The result is the third consecutive draw such a United side has had, with the other two both being 3-3 thrillers against Altrincham and Scunthorpe United.

A United side of similar strength plays Swindon Town on the 29th, as they continue their warm-up for the pre-season.

The Under-23's will then participate in the IV International Tournament of Odivelas, which takes place from the 1st to the 4th of August.
