USA Tour Squad Announced

Juan Sebastian Veron is amongst the travelling party, and his inclusion in the trip could put an end to the rumours linking him away from Old Trafford.

20-year-old David Bellion is the only new face flying out from the UK, but recently signed 'keeper Tim Howard will join up with the squad when they arrive in the States.

Youngsters Darren Fletcher, Mark Lynch, Danny Pugh and Kieran Richardson have all been included in the party, and will have a big chance to stake a claim for a place in the first team.

New signing Eric Djemba-Djemba, Fabien Barthez and Mikael Silvestre will all miss the trip to gain some much needed rest, following their participation in the recent Confederations Cup.

The twenty players who flew out from Manchester airport this morning are as follows:

The team kick-off their tour of the States with the 'Battle of Britain', against Uefa Cup finalists Glasgow Celtic at the Seahawks Stadium, Seattle on July 22nd.

They then face Club Americas of Mexico (July 27th), Juventus (July 31st) and Barcelona (August 3rd).
