Manchester United midfielder Michael Stewart is in training with Nottingham Forest, with an eye of joining the club on a season long loan. The deal will give the Scottish international some much needed regular first team football. New Page 4

United midfielder Michael Stewart is training with Nottingham Forest, with a view to join the Division One outfit on loan.

Stewart is also heading to France with Forest for a seven day training camp.

"Michael is spending some time with us and will be going to France. It's a chance for me to have a close look at him." said Forest manager Paul Hart.

The possible loan move will give Stewart some invaluable first-team experience. The ??-year-old, has struggled to get near the first-team with United, and has only made a handful of appearances.

He is though seen as a player with real potential, and has already made three international appearances for Scotland.
