Cameroon midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba has completed his move from Nantes to Manchester United after passing a medical this morning. He has put pen to paper on a 5-year-deal, and will cost Sir Alex £3.5 million. The fee could rise depending on appearances. The United boss is confident that Djemba-Djemba can fulfill his potential at Old Trafford. "Eric is a young player, and we have watched him throughout the season, and he has impressed us each time, with his understanding of the game," said Sir Alex. "He’s quick, aggressive and can pass the ball. He’s the type of athletic footballer we are looking for." The 22-year-old midfielder is also delighted with the move, and revealed it has always been his dream to play for United. "This is a very proud moment for me. Ever since I was a teenager, it’s been my dream to play for Manchester United, and I can't wait for the season to start." said Djemba-Djemba. |
