Neville in Disbelief over Becks Transfer

United confirmed on Tuesday that they have excepted an offer from Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta, believed to be in the region of £30million, to buy David Beckham. 

Although Beckham has announced he does not plan to discuss terms with Laporta, it is believed that Real Madrid and AC Milan are still in the hunt for the England skipper. 

Close friend Phil Neville has said: "It is best to leave it up to the people at Manchester United and to David Beckham, but it would be difficult to see him go.

”There has been so much written and so much said that until something does materialise, you don’t know exactly what is going to happen.

"He is a good friend and a great player and he would have to see David Beckham in a shirt not bearing the Manchester United emblem to believe any deal had actually gone through."

Neville remains unconvinced that Beckham will leave Old Trafford.

"Until he is told he is not a Manchester United player, I am not convinced he will go,” added the England international.
