David Moyes’ Manchester United twice came from behind to claim a 2-2 Premier League draw at Spurs, extending their unbeaten run to 12 matches.

Having avoided defeat for two full calendar months, the Red Devils kicked off December with a hard-fought point in North London.

On-form Wayne Rooney grabbed both goals for the visitors, leaving United nine points behind league leaders Arsenal in eighth spot.

David Walker’s 18th-minute free-kick fizzled under United’s wall and eluded David De Gea to break the deadlock, but a combination of poor Spurs defending and quick reactions from Rooney saw the England frontman level from a Phil Jones cross.

A long-range effort from Sandro fired Spurs back ahead nine minutes after the break, but United quickly pulled level from the penalty spot. Roney kept his cool from 12 yards following Hugo Lloris’s foul on Danny Welbeck.

Neither side could find a late winner, but the draw was a fair result at White Hart Lane and kicks-off a potentially season-defining month for the Champions in respectable fashion.
