Manchester United moved to within five points of the top of the Premier League with a crucial 1-0 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford, as the Red Devils continue their unbeaten run.

David Moyes' men extended their unbeaten run to nine matches as the United boss enjoyed one of his finest afternoons since taking the helm at the Theatre of Dreams.

The only goal of the game came on 27 minutes as ex-Gunner Robin can Persie nodded home Wayne Rooney's corner with a fine header.

RVP's header capitalises on a lacklustre opening half from his former club, though the visitors improved significantly after the break as United clung on for a vital three points.

Arsene Wenger's men enjoyed swathes of pressure at times but David de Gea was rarely tested, with the on-form Aaron Ramsay kept quiet and Arsenal's attack lacking a cutting edge.
