Peter Crouch headed home Stoke City's equaliser as Manchester United's 100% Premier League record came to an end at the Britannia Stadium. Nani had opened the scoring with a fantastic goal, but the Potters restored parity on 52 minutes thanks to Crouch.

Under-pressure David De Gea pulled off a string of excellent saves during the game, but he couldn't stop an emphatic Crouch header seven minutes into the second-half.

The Reds have opened the scoring on 27 minutes through Nani. The winger fired home a fine effort after some neat build-up play with Darren Fletcher.

Ryan Giggs missed a late chance for the visitors, whilst Crouch volleyed wide from six yards with minutes remaining.

Sir Alex Ferguson's men were without the injured Wayne Rooney, whilst Javier Hernandez went off after only 11 minutes. His replacement - Michael Owen - was anonymous despite his two-goal appearance at Leeds mid-week.

Crouch's goal means Stoke claim their first league point against United in nearly 27 years.
