Old Trafford to host League One and League Two play-off fina

Manchester United’s Old Trafford home will play host to the League One and League Two play-off finals in 2011. The games, of course, are usually played at Wembley - but the Football League has announced the move due to a clash with the Champions League final.

Red Devils chief executive David Gill has said he is “delighted” that Old Trafford will host two play-off finals this season.

The Championship play-off final will remain at Wembley on its traditional Bank Holiday Monday slot, but the League One and Two finals will be moved due to a clash with Europe’s showpiece final.

Wembley will host Europe's showpiece on May 28th; with the League Two final due to take place at Old Trafford on the same day.

The League One final will also be at the Theatre of Dreams on the Sunday.

Huddersfield Town, Southampton, Peterborough and Milton Keynes Dons currently occupy the play-off spots in England's third tier, whilst Shrewsbury Town, Port Vale, Crewe Alexandra and Bury sit in the League Two play-off places.
