JS Park bagged the only goal of the game as Manchester United went top of the Premier League with a crucial 1-0 victory over Arsenal. Wayne Rooney missed a penalty, but the visiting Gunners failed to mount much late pressure as Sir Alex Ferguson's men bagged maximum points.

Park netted the only goal of the game five minutes before the break. The South Korean met Nani's deflected cross with an unorthodox header that found its way home.
The Red Devils had an ideal chance to double the advantage with 17 minutes to go. Gael Clichy was penalised for handling in the penalty box; but Wayne Rooney's recent woes continued as he blasted a shocking spot-kick over the crossbar.
Despite that boost, Arsenal failed to rally. United stifled the midfield of Arsene Wenger's men and, without really impressing, claimed a much-deserved win that delivers a statement of intent to the rest of the division.
Marouane Chamakn's missed header was as good as it got for the visitors, who have now played a game more than United and trail the new leaders by two points. Fergie's men return to action on Sunday with the small matter of a trip to Stamford Bridge to face stuttering Chelsea.

United back to the top of the league and with others struggling for form this is the ideal time to press on towards that record breaking 19th title.

Not a classic game but a massive three points.
