Mexican frontman Javier Hernandez Balcaza has been granted a work permit by the Home Office and will officially join Manchester United on July 1st. The 22-year-old joins the club in a deal reportedly worth 7million pounds.
United fans are likely to get a glimpse of Hernandez this summer as he travels to South Africa with his Mexicancolleagues for the World Cup finals.
Nicknamed 'Little sweet pea' in Mexico, the pint-size striker hasalready been hailed as a "fantastic addition" to the United squad by Sir Alex Ferguson.
Hejoins the club from Chivas; where he has bagged 26 league goals in 64 appearances. He will get the chance to impress against his former club in a friendly at theend of July.
I'm hoping for big things from the diminutive striker. I like the look of him – but am not really basing that on much evidence as I've seen very little of him. Would love him to be a big success though and he looks a great character to have around the club. Welcome to the Sweet Pea!!
