Fletcher: "We've still got a long way to go"

Darren Fletcher is refusing to be caught up by complacency and has denied that the title race is over. Manchester United opened up a three-point lead over the Scousers on Sunday with a comfortable 2-0 victory – and Fergie’s men still have one game-in-hand. However, Fletcher knows it’s far from over yet.

Goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez helped the Red Devils cruise to a 2-0 win over City on Sunday lunchtime.

That result allowed United to return to the Premier League summit; opening up a three-point lead over the Scousers.

United play their game-in-hand at Wigan on Wednesday before entertaining Arsenal and travelling to struggling Hull on the final day of the season.

United are in a superb position - but Fletcher has refused to accept that an eighteenth league championship is in the bag.

"There's still a long way to go. We've got to keep winning matches." said Fletcher, speaking to the BBC after United's Manchester derby success.

"It's not in the bag yet. We'll keep focussed and put in all our concentration towards doing that."
