Arshavin the hero as Liverpool and Arsenal draw four-each
Arshavin scored four

Liverpool went back to the top of the Premier League table on Tuesday evening - but Sir Alex Ferguson will be delighted after the Scousers and Arsenal battled out a thrilling 4-4 draw at Anfield. Rafa Benitez's side top the table on goal difference, but United now have two games in hand ahead of Wednesday's crucial encounter at home to Portsmouth.
Arshavin enjoyed an incredible afternoon and broke the deadlock as he turned home a Cesc Fabergas shot. However, Fernando Torres restored parity with a header.
The hosts started to boss proceedings and Liverpool went 2-1 up as Yossi Benayoun turned the game on its head before awesome Arshavin scored twice in a matter of minutes.
The Russian fired home a thunderbolt effort before taking advantage of a Jamie Carragher cock-up to send the travelling North Londoners into delight.
Torres levelled things up again before Arshavin looked to have won it for the Gunners on ninety minutes. Benayoun, however, scored the game's eighth goal as he was given the time and space to rifle the home in injury-time.
Thankfully, there was to be no fairytale ending for the Scousers as an amazing game ended four apiece.
Liverpool dominated for long periods, but the Gooners look lethal on the counter-attack and the European Cup semi-final ties promise to be memorable occasions.
If United can beat Pompey on Wednesday evening then we'll go three points clear with a game-in-hand. That'd make Sir Alex's men firm, firm favourites to regain the title and match the Scousers' eighteen league championships.
He was sh.it tonight except his 4 goals! They were 4 beauties though. 2 with his left, 2 with his right. A player with immense talent but i still don't think he is right for the PL. He'll probably tear our defence apart now though
Arsenal defence was crap. Why the hell did they have so many players forward in the last 3 minutes of injury time!?!? Still grateful for the point they got. It means that if we win all our games up until the Arsenal game, a draw will win us the title!
We still have to play some difficult games, including Arsenal remember, they could take more points off us. We have games in hand but we actually need to go and win them first. There's no reason for us to be complacent.

It was a pass not a shot. nice little move.

Started? They dominated us start to finish Thank God for Arshavin or it could have been 8-0 no joking.
Now that you've got this result do you think Ferguson will rest players against Spurs on Saturday or go all out to get the 6 point lead? That was probably my main concern, that if we won AF could rest players for next Wednesday.
He'll rest some players but not to the degree of the semi final. Midfield will be rotated about, Tevez could come in but i expect Ronaldo to still play. Depends on the team tonight i think.
If Fabregas' pass was a shot then it was one awful shot Chris!
