Tevez was on fire

Manchester United stormed into the semi-finals of the F.A Cup and booked another trip to Wembley following a 4-0 trouncing of Fulham at Craven Cottage. Despite resting Dimitar Berbatov and Cristiano Ronaldo, United cruised to victory to keep alive dreams of an unprecedented quintuple. Carlos Tevez bagged two of the goals, with Wayne Rooney and Ji-Sung Park also hitting the target.

The Cottagers actually looked like causing United some problems in the early exchanges. United's defence again looked a little shaky and an error from Edwin van der Sar from Edwin van der Sar allowed Andrew Johnson to toe-poke goalwards before Nemanja Vidic scooped the ball to safety only yards from the goal-line.

Clint Dempsey then forced VDS into a fine save, before a poorly judged header from Vidic nearly eluded the Dutch goalkeeper. However, United soon settled and the thousands of vocal travelling Reds were in raptures on twenty minutes as the diminutive Tevez headed home the opening goal.Poor defending from Paul Konchesky allowed the Argentinean to pop up and nod in at the far post.

Rooney missed a sitter soon after the opener before Tevez doubled his account for the afternoon with a wonderful effort. The South American delivered a message of intent to the Manchester United bench as he stormed forward before firing home a beautiful 25-yard screamer.

United were cruising and strung together a series of stunning attacking moves after the half-time break. The crucial third goal came five minutes after the interval as Rooney curled home a lovely finish, before Park completed the rout with nine minutes left as Park capped a brilliant United display with an exceptional individual effort.

The Reds now join Chelsea in the last four of the competition - with Everton hosting Middlesbrough on Sunday. Meanwhile, Sheffield United await the winners of Sunday's fifth round tie between Arsenal and Burnley. Roll on WEM-BER-LEY again: £5 hot-dogs, horrible parking but, most importantly, more success for Fergie's awesome Red Devils. We're one step closer to the greatest achievement in footballing history.
