Joins Hull

Manchester United frontman Alberto Manucho made his Hull City debut on Saturday after joining the Tigers on loan until the end of the season. The Angolan striker played the final 37 minutes as Hull lost 3-1 to Arsenal at the KC Stadium. He’ll be hoping to prove his abilities with the Humberside club after finding first-team opportunities difficult to come-by at United.

The powerhouse forward has only one Premier League appearance to his name and has found himself well down the pecking order since joining United.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Panathinaikos, where he netted four goals in seven league games. However, with Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez, Dimitar Berbatov and Danny Welbeck getting first-team recognition ahead of him, the best option for Sir Alex Ferguson was to send the 6"3 man out on-loan.

Hull enjoyed a great start to their league campaign but look to be on the slide and could well face a relegation battle. Manucho will be hoping his goalscoring form can help Phil Brown's men recapture the kind of form that saw beat the likes of Arsenal, West Ham and Spurs earlier in the season.
